• Shanghai Tobacco General Manager Luo Wenqiang Surveys Duty Free Stores in Shenzhen and Zhuhai

On June 24, 2014, a delegation of four led by the newly appointed GM and Vice GM of Shanghai Tobacco Group, Luo Wenqiang and Shen Zuming visited CDFG stores in Shenzhen and Zhuhai for a 3-day survey accompanied by Vice GM of CDFG Zhao Feng.

Luo Wenqiang’s delegation conducted a full-range survey on CDFG stores at Luohu Port, Huanggang Port, Wenjindu and Shatoujiao in Shenzhen as well as Gongbei Port and Hengqin Port in Zhuhai. Luo raised detailed questions on the sources of customer in the stores, their preferences and the current sales performance of Shanghai “Double Happiness” and “Golden Deer” cigarettes. General managers of the stores gave detailed presentations on the kinds, brands, prices and shopping procedures of tobacco products as well as the sales performance of Shanghai Tobacco in the first half of the year; while related personnel of Shanghai Tobacco also gave suggestions on the work arrangements in the second half of the year, sales services and commodity display based on the prevailing problems in sales and the overall sales performance of the first half of the year.
This survey helped Shanghai Tobacco Group to deepen its understanding of CDFG stores, which built a foundation for brand restructuring of the group through benchmarking with other brands of strong sales performance. In the future, CDFG would continue to upgrade the structure of cigarette sales, boosting sales in the store and promoting the deepened strategic partnership between the two parties.
