On April 26th and 27th, Xu Fushun, Deputy Director of SASAC, led his party to investigate and survey CITS Haitang Bay International Duty Free Shopping Mall project accompanied by Wang Weimin, CITS Group President and General Manager, Li Gang, Secretary of the CITS Group Party Committee and President of CITS Corporation and others.
During the survey, President Wang Weimin first gave a detailed introduction to Deputy Director Xu Fushun and his party about Haitang Bay project’s planning ideas, development orientation, project highlights, difficulties and construction progress. Later, the survey team went to the construction site for investigation. Deputy Director Xu highly affirmed the project and spoke highly of the extensive applications of new technologies and processes including the curved surface steel structure, environmental protection and energy saving and lighting. He also pointed out that in order to become world-class comprehensive leisure and holiday resort integrating tourism with duty free shopping, we should receive guests with the top-class team, facilities, commodities and services. He encouraged CITS Group to continue its pursuit for perfection, high-quality and efficiency in the construction of Haitang Bay project and make good and clever use of the Hainan Island offshore duty-free policy. He also showed his expectations for the early project completion and opening of the shopping mall.
Afterwards, Secretary Li Gang, on behalf of CITS Group, reported the work to Deputy Director Xu Fushun. He gave a general introduction about CITS’s development history, company structure, main businesses, business performance, brand value, development prospect, employment and distribution and other aspects, and did a brief report about the development and construction for Haitang Bay International Duty Free Shopping Mall, and the operation and management of Sanya Duty Free Store.
After hearing the reports, Deputy Director Xu Fushun fully affirmed CITS’s works in market development, project construction and contributions to local economic development. He said CITS Group had built a harmonious employment and distribution relationship by standardizing employment management, innovating in the labor cost management system, intensifying salary management of company responsible persons, steadily promoting corporate pension and construction of other major income distribution systems. This way, CITS Group had realized a steady long-term increase in its operation performance and set an example as a central enterprise.
President Wang Weimin expressed his thanks to the deputy director’s high affirmation. He also said CITS’s next step was to actively promote its reform and development as required by the 18th National Congress of the CPC for deepening the reform of SOEs. Besides, CITS Group, abiding by the requirements from SASAC, would keep “one heart, two loads and three eyes”: show more faith in well managing SOE, build itself to be a world-class enterprise and launch first-class projects; shoulder the due responsibilities as a SOE and responsibilities to its shareholders, practically realize “shouldering two responsibilities and loads at the same time”; persist in widely opening “three eyes” for the group’s development and management, keep close eyes on policy environment, market needs, self-management. This way, it can facilitate a sustainable, rapid and sound development for CITS Group, further enlarge and perfect its three main businesses — travel agency, travel retail and comprehensive travel investment and development, create new travel destinations actively and strive to be a world-class comprehensive travel service operator and transnational travel service integrator.
