On March 7, CITS Group Corporation and Chongqing Municipality signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. They seek to establish a strategic cooperation relationship in the bonded warehousing merchandise display, cross-border E-commerce and other related businesses. Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing; Liu Qiang, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing; Wang Weimin, Chairman of CITS Group; and Li Gang, Secretary of the Party Committee of CITS Group all attended the signing ceremony.
Huang Qifan said that the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party required them to promote the opening up of the inland region, and the central government put forward the “two zones and one road” strategy, which will promote the opening up of the inland region. In recent years, with support from central government, and by using two bonded zones, Chongqing has strongly promoted the opening up of the inland region and has managed to achieve significant results. In the next stage, with the open platform provided by the bonded zones, Chongqing will promote the trade of services within the bonded zones, and try to advance bonded warehousing merchandise display, cross-border E-commerce, offshore financial settlements, big data service, and consignment processing, while keeping focusing on bonded processing trade. Chongqing Municipality hopes to strengthen the cooperation with CITS Group by continuing to open up, and in trying to achieve mutual development.
Wang Weimin, Chairman and General Manager of CITS Group, said that Chongqing is leading the way in the opening up of the inland region as a result of active exploration and innovation. As a central tourism enterprise that combines a travel service, duty free commodity sales and integrated tourism project development, CITS Group hopes to cooperate with Chongqing Municipality to realize mutual benefits in order to help promote the opening up of the inland.
Chongqing Bonded Port Zone Development and Management Co., Ltd. and China Duty Free Group Co., Ltd., a subordinate company of CITS Group, signed a cooperation agreement.
