• “Hear See the Everlasting Echo” cdf×Qeelin×Wormhole Cross-boundary Thematic Exhibition opened at Haikou Wormhole Library


    On October 25th, 2021, China Duty Free Group specially invited Qeelin, a jewelry brand of the global luxury group Kering, to start the one-week cross-boundary cultural thematic exhibition themed “Hear · See Everlasting Echo”. This exhibition innovated in the operation model again after the thematic exhibition of “Watches & Wonders”, and precisely touched and reached consumers through brand culture and design concept.

    Class-I inspector of Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce Yao Lei said that the offshore duty-free policy has become a “golden calling card” of Hainan, and the continuous release of the offshore duty-free policy effects would be impossible without generous support of duty-free operators. CDFG has been engaging in the offshore duty-free shopping market of Hainan, witnessing the changes and development of the policy, and making tremendous contributions to the offshore duty-free industry of Hainan, profoundly demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of CDFG as a centrally-administered SOE. He expected CDFG to work harder to make greater contributions to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

    Gao Xujiang, deputy general manager of China Tourism Group Duty Free Corporation Limited, as well as Party secretary and executive director of CDFG Sanya Downtown Duty Free Store Co., Ltd, said that Hainan has rich and diversified regional culture and strong consumption market, which is the fundamental condition for the successful holding of this cross-boundary event. Under the leadership of the parent company China Tourism Group, CDFG always sticks to the development concept of remaining devoted to Hainan and integrated into Hainan, and Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free Store and Haikou Duty Free Store have become go-to places for high-end shopping in Haikou, and provided new powerful momentum for Haikou to construct a first-class new highland for tourism and consumption. CDFG constantly digs the possibility of having diversified cooperation with brands, and expects to bring richer cultural experience for citizens of and tourists to Haikou. It is just an attempt, but after the Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex project settles down in Haikou in the near future, it will be bound to bring more surprises to all.

This event took place at Haikou Wormhole Library, a landmark architecture in Haikou, connecting art and innovation; a row of historical walls of Wulu overlapping modeling right in front is just displaying that Qeelin constantly inherits the magnificent craftsmanship of Chinese traditional culture. On the lake surface outside the library, the Qeelin Wulu is just extending out delicately, with gourd windmills and exquisite light boxes showing off their uniqueness. The unique installation art not only ignites topics of high exposure, but also attracts the eyesight of a big population interested in Chinese culture and art.
